Anne Mann

Anne Mann worked in Development and Fundraising at Chelsea Community Hospital for 15 years and coordinated many special events and capital campaigns. Anne served on the Chelsea School District's Board of Education for 13+ years and was an officer for 10 of those years. She is currently the Chair of the Chelsea Community Foundation. Anne has BA from Western Michigan University in Marketing and attended numerous classes through the Michigan Association of School Board Members. The Main Street Project is important to Anne because she and her husband have three adult children who are married with children, and they all live in the Chelsea area.

I got involved with the park for many reasons:

• Cleaning up a blighted site that has sat empty for too many years as an eyesore.

• For my grandchildren. A park on this site would be an excellent place for them to meet friends, socialize and be active.

• I recently learned the game of pickleball and was aware of the need for designated pickleball courts in Chelsea.

My husband and I thought we were done with fundraising and were looking forward to traveling and caring for our grandchildren. Then we met Joe and Abby. Their vision and enthusiasm for the development of this property was contagious! We decided that we could not pass on this opportunity, and we are excited about helping them make their vision a reality for Chelsea.

Anne serves as Co-Chair of the Development Committee.
