Abby Hurst

Abby Hurst has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. Her efforts have been for international organizations, and she is excited to be working in the community in new and challenging ways. Abby pursued International Studies and Cultural Anthropology at Kenyon College in Ohio. She led service-learning trips overseas for many years and has had the opportunity to live and work in many different parts of the world.

I've tried to harness creativity, generosity, and big-picture thinking in how I approach my everyday life and work here in Chelsea. Abby is passionate about food and its impact on health and wellbeing; she is one of the founding partners of Agricole Farm Stop. Being a part of this mission-driven business has been tremendously rewarding and further reinforces the importance of prioritizing social benefit.

The opportunity to transform the Federal Screw Property is another project that aligns with my values and will create meaningful community impact. It is exciting to be working with intelligent, passionate people who care about the community and the world we are leaving to our children and grandchildren. It's energizing!

Abby is a founding member and serves on the Marketing and Development Committees.
